Well it was quite a weekend. Our last festival of the 2006 season had us heading to Oshkosh to play at St. Peter's Church. This was the first time we would be playing this festival and we were all looking forward to the show. Then the fun began. Our drummer and his wife Jessica were expecting their first child in October. Well the baby decided he didn't want to wait until Oct. So late Friday night they were off to the hospital.  Now what?  We had no drummer for Saturday's show. What's the old saying, "the show must go on". Good fortune has seemed to bless Barry's Truckers over the years and it smiled on us once more. Our good friend and former drummer, Marty Pierce, had recently moved back to Wisconsin and relocated in Appleton. As luck would have it Marty and his wife Lisa were already planning to drive up to see the show. I contacted Marty and asked him if he could do us a huge favor and sit in with us. He said he would be glad to help out. So it was off to Oshkosh. The weatherman wasn't making things easier either as a cold front came blowing in giving us our first taste of fall. But, there are nothing but happy endings to this story. Everything worked out fine. We are happy to announce that AJ and Jessica are now the proud parents of a healthy baby boy, Marek Thomas Knight. Congratulations! And a big thank you to Marty for doing a great job filling for our new Dad. We had a great time. Thanks to all the volunteers and audience for making us feel welcome and making our last show of the season a real blast. A special thanks to our good friends that made the road trip to be with us for the last show. Hope you enjoy the pictures.
